Background

The initial memorandum, dated 28.01.2022, clarified that the recognition of Service Associations would be valid for five years starting from 19.07.2019. This period was set to expire on 18.07.2024.

Current Update

Given the ongoing verification process for Service Associations, the Department of Posts has decided to extend the facilities provided to all recognized Service Associations for an additional year, effective from 19.07.2024. This extension will remain in place until the completion of the verification process or for one year, whichever comes first.

Official Approval

This decision has been approved by the competent authority and is communicated through the Office Memorandum F. No. SR-1012/2024-SR-DOP.
