How to Change Postman / Beat Name in DPMS
Procedure for Changing a Postman’s Name in SAP for DPMS Module

To change a postman’s name in the SAP Module for invoicing articles in the DPMS Module, follow the steps outlined below. This procedure must be performed only after completing Beat EOD or before the Shift begins.
Steps to Change Postman/GDS Name:
- Facility ID:
- Enter the Facility ID of the Post Office.
- find Facility using Pincode by T-Code : ZREV
- Facility Description:
- This field is autopopulated.
- Pincode:
- This field is autopopulated.
- Shift Number:
- Enter “GEN2” for operative staff (6 days work week).
- Batch ID:
- Select the Batch Number from the available list.
- Beat Number:
- Select the Postman Beat Number that needs to be changed.
- Type:
- For a permanent employee, select “D”.
- For a temporary employee, select “T”.
- From Date:
- Enter today’s date or the previous day’s date.
- To Date:
- Enter “31.12.9999”.
Next, enter the employee ID in the Personnel Number field to fetch the remaining details from the respective table in the SAP Server.
Finally, press F8 or Execute to apply the change in the production server.
Important Note:
Once the Postman Beat Name is created in ZMOBEATCREATE, the vendor must be created in the SAP Module of the concerned PM/SPM for conducting financial transactions such as Cash to Postman, Money Orders, etc.
This change ensures that the correct postman or GDS is linked to their respective duties, streamlining the invoicing process and maintaining accurate records within the SAP system.
