Notification for Willingness to Work in the CEPT under IT 2.0
The Department of Posts is inviting applications from eligible officers/officials to work in the Centre for Excellence in Postal Technology (CEPT) for the development and rollout of Postal and Logistics Solutions under the IT 2.0 initiative.
Background
In continuation of previous notifications (No. Tgy-50/21/2023-Tech-DOP) dated 28-07-2023 and 21-11-2023, CEPT is set to develop Phase 2 applications, prepare a rollout strategy, and implement the applications within specified timelines. The IT 2.0 initiative aims to enhance the technological infrastructure of postal services.
Positions Available
A minimum of 50 positions are available for development and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities. The technology stack and the specific skills required are detailed in Annexure-1 of the notification.
Application and Selection Process
- How to Apply: Interested officials can register their willingness on the CEPT website at https://cept.gov.in/willingness/candidateform.aspx starting from 03-09-2024.
- Deadline: The last date for submitting applications is 15-09-2024.
- Selection Process: The selection process will include a written exam, interview, or interaction session.
Training
Selected officials may receive training to enhance their skills in the chosen technologies, if necessary. Therefore, officials with a technical background, development skills, and basic knowledge of relevant tools and technologies are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility Criteria
- Cadres Eligible: PA/SA/OA officials are eligible to apply.

CEPT is currently operational in the following locations:
- Bengaluru
- Mysuru
- Chennai
- Hyderabad
- Mumbai
- Patna
Applicants who are willing to work from any of these locations can apply for the available posts.
Appointment and Posting
- Selected officials are expected to report to CEPT immediately upon confirmation of their selection.
- Officials may be posted on the establishment of CEPT or on an attachment basis. The posting will depend on the availability of vacant positions at the chosen CEPT unit.
