Revised Guidelines for Allotment and Transfer of Postal Service Group B Officers

In accordance with the latest Office Memorandum issued by the Ministry of Communications, Department of Posts, new guidelines have been established regarding the transfer and allotment of Postal Service Group ‘B’ officers between circles or units. These revised guidelines build upon previous instructions and aim to streamline the transfer process.

Key Points of the Revised Guidelines:

  1. Reference to Past Communications: The latest memo follows the earlier letters issued by the Department, specifically:
    • Letter No. 9-23/2013-SPG dated 18.05.2018
    • Letter dated 25.02.2020 These communications laid the foundation for officer transfer and posting guidelines.
  2. Officer Transfers to PTCs/RAKNPA: Officers of Postal Service Group ‘B’ are now eligible for transfer or posting to Postal Training Centres (PTCs) and Rafi Ahmed Kidwai National Postal Academy (RAKNPA). The process will be conducted according to the guidelines set in the letter dated 25.02.2020.
  3. Request Submission: Officers willing to transfer can submit their requests through the proper channel. Applications must follow the proforma outlined in Letter No. 9-14/2018-SPG-II dated 23.06.2021. Additionally, officers should include any relevant information regarding their suitability for the designated posts in PTCs.
  4. Posting Details: These new measures aim to simplify the transfer process and ensure that all relevant information is readily available. Officers are encouraged to provide comprehensive details to facilitate swift and smooth processing of their applications.
